Que santa Catalina Tom\u00e0s \u00e9s una icona per al poble mallorqu\u00ed, no ho dubta ning\u00fa. En donen fe la devoci\u00f3 que se suscita entorn d’ella i la manifestaci\u00f3 popular que, any rere any, envaeix places i carrers del centre hist\u00f2ric de Palma. Novament la figura de la nostra “Beateta”, enguany representada per la nina Ada Catalina Amengual de Luque, desfil\u00e0 presidint l’hist\u00f2ric Carro Triomfal i enmig de veritables mostres d’homenatge. Aquest any la cita s’escaigu\u00e9 el passat dia 18 d’octubre, al capvespre. Un milenar de persones formaren part del seguici entre agrupacions de balladors i xeremiers, bandes de m\u00fasica, entitats culturals, autoritats, representacions de diversos pobles de Mallorca…, entre les quals destac\u00e0, novament, la de Valldemossa, vila nadiua de Santa Catalina Tom\u00e0s.<\/p>\n

Una vegada m\u00e9s, la Colcada no renunci\u00e0 a aquells trets que la fan \u00fanica: no deixaven de sentir-se per totes bandes les notes del t\u00edpic himne de “Sor Tomasseta”, la magistral interpretaci\u00f3 que, en pres\u00e8ncia del Carro Triomfal, en feren els components del Cor Infantil del Teatre Principal i el pas d’aquest mateix per la cap\u00e7alera de Sant Nicolau, on s’efectu\u00e0 la preceptiva i curiosa entrega de la rulla de confits que cada any el rector d’aquesta parr\u00f2quia entrega a la “Beateta”. De cada cop es nota m\u00e9s com la ciutadania sent seva aquesta festa: milers de persones surten al carrer per veure la desfilada, moltes s\u00f3n les cases particulars i institucions que llueixen domassos i altres ornaments… Entre aquestes, novament destacaren les seus del Consell de Mallorca i l’Ajuntament de Palma. Tota la multitud acab\u00e0 en el monestir de Santa Magdalena per realitzar la seva ofrena floral al sepulcre de Santa Catalina.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
