A les 19.30 hores, la confraria es reun\u00ed a l\u2019esgl\u00e9sia parroquial de Santa Creu. La process\u00f3 recorregu\u00e9 la barriada del puig de Sant Pere, sort\u00ed per la pla\u00e7a de les Drassanes i enfil\u00e0 el passeig de Sagrera per arribar al mollet. All\u00e0 esperaven les barques engalanades per a l\u2019ocasi\u00f3. La imatge avan\u00e7\u00e0 pel mollet fins que arrib\u00e0 a l\u2019embarcaci\u00f3 portadora, El Llevant, dels germans Bonet Llad\u00f3, amb en Toni \u2018Pipes\u2019 com a patr\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abPalma \u00e9s una ciutat oberta a la mar i no ha de perdre la seva identitat. A m\u00e9s el sentiment l\u00fadic i festiu no por reduir-se a all\u00f2 comercial, sin\u00f3 que ha de servir a l\u2019enfortiment del teixit social, tamb\u00e9 en un pla espiritual\u00bb, digu\u00e9 el rector de Santa Creu, Nadal Bernat.<\/p>\n<p>Al capvespre, les barques salparen i passejaren la imatge del sant per la badia de Palma. Abans de tornar a terra ferma, s\u2019aturaren a l\u2019escullera del port, on els participants feren una ofrena floral i una preg\u00e0ria per les \u00e0nimes dels pescadors i mariners morts els darrers anys. A m\u00e9s, per iniciativa de Mn. Nadal Bernat, es feu una ofrena flora en record dels morts durant la pand\u00e8mia.
